Over the years SUFFOLK BULLBREEDS have become well known and respected for the way care for and breed our dogs. We breed for HEALTH above all else. A long term on=going HEALTH FOCUSED BREEDING PROGRAM is essential to address the multiple health issues associated with the bulldog today. After considerable research into the history of the bulldog through the ages we began outlining a breeding program. We then consulted with various breeders, getting the most helpful and realistic advice from American breeders of OLDE ENGLISH BULLDOGS and other similar breeds. We also looked at where other breeders had encountered problems while breeding to achieve similar goals. It soon became apparent that simply selectively breeding from only the healthiest British bulldogs would achieve very little. Cross breeding was an inevitable and crucial part of the program, with numerous breedings being necessary to address so many health issues. Over a number of years we produced a variety of HYBRID BULLDOGS each resulting from several matings. We selectively kept and bred these hybrids whilst constantly looking for other breeders producing similarly bred hybrid dogs with a CHECKABLE HEALTH HISTORY. We call these dogs hybrids simply to differentiate them from a straight 50/50 cross of a bulldog and another breed. There is a vast difference in terms of HEALTH, INTELLIGENCE and LONGEVITY, between a bulldog produced from one or two random cross=breedings and a HYBRID BULLDOG bred from multiple health focused breedings. As a direct result of our patience and dedication we have produced bulldogs that we are very proud of. Our feed back to date has been entirely positive. We are happy to offer testimonials from owners of our bulldogs. If you want the best bulldogs our dogs are certainly up there among them. We welcome all enquiries and are happy to answer questions or offer advice, weather you buy a pup from us or not. Our breeding ideas are not a secret and we are more than happy to share them if it means that a breeder will produce healthier bulldogs. Unfortunately due to other committments we only breed a limited number of pups. Understandably our pups are in quite high demand so we encourage anyone interested in owning one of our HEALTHY BULLDOG PUPS to add their details to our waiting list in order to be kept up to date with plans for future breedings before they are advertised.
